Job Description

We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Print Design Specialist who doesn’t just think in CMYK but obsesses over bleeds, finishes, and how ink reacts on textured stock. This role demands someone who can translate conceptual direction into tactile, brand-elevating print materials—from packaging prototypes and editorial spreads to lookbooks, signage, and custom promotional assets. You’ll work closely with our creative, production, and marketing teams to bring physical design projects to life, maintaining consistency across all brand touchpoints. An ideal candidate has deep technical knowledge of print production, a strong visual instinct, and a track record of delivering high-caliber print assets that feel intentional, polished, and print-shop ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop print materials including packaging, event collateral, catalogs, signage, environmental graphics, and specialty promotional pieces.
  • Translate digital brand standards into tactile design while considering physical constraints, substrates, and production specs.
  • Prepare precise, press-ready files with accurate dielines, color profiles, and finishing instructions.
  • Partner with external vendors and printers to spec, proof, and oversee production—ensuring design intent is preserved through final output.
  • Research materials, finishes, and production techniques to propose elevated print treatments.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and retail teams to support seasonal campaigns and product launches.
  • Build and maintain a materials library with printed samples, substrates, and production notes.
  • Proactively flag issues in print feasibility or brand inconsistency before a file ever reaches the printer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Print Production, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience with a strong focus on print design and production.
  • Expert in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; familiarity with Figma is a plus.
  • Deep technical understanding of prepress processes, file setup, die cuts, varnishes, and specialty finishes.
  • Comfortable navigating conversations with printers, vendors, and fabricators; experience conducting press checks is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple print projects with overlapping timelines and varying scopes.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates excellence in layout, typography, and material sensibility across various print formats.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a relentless commitment to quality—even on tight turnarounds.
  • Curiosity about paper types, binding methods, and print innovation is highly encouraged.
