Power BI Developer
Job Description
About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with strong Java development expertise and mandatory Payments Domain experience to join our technology team.
Key Responsibilities :
– Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for payments and banking use cases.
– Build efficient and scalable data models using Power BI and DAX.
– Develop complex calculations, measures, KPIs, and business metrics using DAX.
– Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query.
– Optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, queries, and data models for improved performance.
– Apply data visualization best practices to present complex payment and financial data effectively.
– Integrate Power BI with data sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Azure, and similar enterprise platforms.
– Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java 8+.
– Develop microservices using Spring Boot and expose/consume REST APIs.
– Work with relational databases and write optimized SQL queries.
– Leverage GitHub Copilot / Microsoft Copilot to improve software development productivity.
– Apply effective prompt engineering techniques for software engineering and analytics use cases.
Required Skills :
– Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and Power BI Dashboard Development.
– Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, Data Modelling, and Report Optimization.
– Strong programming experience in Java 8+.
– Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.
– Strong SQL and database concepts.
– Candidates must have hands-on experience in the Payments / Banking / Financial Services domain.
– Experience with GenAI / LLM-based solutions, Prompt Engineering, and RAG architecture.
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
