Job Description

Job Description

We’re seeking a Photo Editor with an obsessive eye for detail and a strong grasp of narrative cohesion through imagery. This role demands more than cropping and color correction — we’re looking for someone who can elevate visual assets into a unified story across campaigns, platforms, and brand touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and retouch high-volume photo sets from fashion, product, lifestyle, and campaign shoots while maintaining image fidelity and adhering to brand-specific visual guidelines.
  • Maintain visual consistency across all edited images, with a focus on shadows, skin tone balance, texture integrity, and accurate product representation.
  • Review raw assets with photographers and creative leads to determine selects that align with the project’s narrative arc or marketing intent.
  • Apply non-destructive retouching workflows that anticipate layout use across web, social, print, and motion formats.
  • Color match product photography to physical samples using calibrated monitors and lighting references, ensuring accurate representation for e-commerce and lookbooks.
  • Manage layered PSDs with organized naming conventions for handoff to motion, design, or production teams.
  • Implement creative feedback from Art Directors and stylists, including specific skin retouching notes, lighting tweaks, or directional cropping.
  • Flag inconsistencies or retouching limitations early, and collaborate on visual solutions that retain brand integrity.
  • Assist in developing presets, LUTs, and editing templates to improve throughput and team-wide consistency.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in a high-volume photo editing role for fashion, luxury, or commercial product-based brands.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and Bridge. Familiarity with Lightroom, Illustrator, and After Effects is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of color theory, exposure balancing, skin tone correction, and composition cropping for narrative flow.
  • Familiar with CMYK vs RGB workflows, DPI standards for print, and optimized exports for web and social.
  • Strong organizational skills — you know how to manage multiple batches, version tracking, and edit rounds without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Experience editing for multi-format campaigns (web banners, print catalogs, OOH, social carousels) and adjusting for aspect ratio requirements without image degradation.
  • Strong portfolio showing before/after edits on a range of photography styles — from fashion editorials to e-commerce flat lays.
