Packaging Designer

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Design and develop packaging artworks including mono cartons, labels, corrugated boxes, and commercial print materials.
• Prepare print-ready files with accurate bleed, die-lines, color profiles, trapping, and finishing specifications.
• Coordinate with pre-press, production, and sales teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
• Create and maintain brand-consistent designs as per client briefs and company standards.
• Handle client revisions, approvals, and final artwork submission within defined timelines.
• Review artworks before plate making to eliminate technical or printing errors.
• Develop mockups, samples, and visual presentations for clients and internal teams.
• Mentor and guide junior graphic designers, ensuring quality output and workflow discipline.
• Maintain organized artwork files, job records, and version control.
• Stay updated with printing techniques, materials, and finishing processes such as lamination, spot UV, foiling, embossing, etc.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in printing & packaging design.
• Strong working knowledge of CorelDRAW and Adobe Photoshop (mandatory).
• Understanding of print-ready artwork, CMYK, bleed, die-lines, and pre-press basics.
• Experience with packaging materials and finishing processes.
• Ability to manage artworks, revisions, and timelines independently.
• Good coordination skills with production and sales teams.
