Network Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to take ownership of designing, deploying, and maintaining our enterprise network infrastructure. This role demands an individual who can balance hands-on technical expertise with strategic foresight to optimize network performance, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment where proactive troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential. You will be the go-to expert ensuring that our network architecture supports business growth while maintaining robust defenses against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud connectivity solutions across multiple sites.
• Monitor network health using advanced tools, quickly identifying bottlenecks or vulnerabilities and implementing effective remediation.
• Lead incident response efforts for network-related outages, minimizing downtime through efficient root cause analysis and resolution.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce network security policies, including firewall rules, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and segmentation.
• Manage vendor relationships for network hardware and services, negotiating contracts and overseeing firmware/software updates.
• Document network configurations, topology changes, and standard operating procedures to maintain compliance and knowledge sharing.
• Implement automation and scripting solutions to streamline repetitive network management tasks.
• Stay current on emerging network technologies and industry best practices to propose upgrades and innovations aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing complex enterprise networks, including experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent hardware.
• Demonstrated expertise in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), switching technologies (VLANs, STP), and network security architectures.
• Proven track record of troubleshooting multi-vendor network environments and resolving issues under pressure.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, or equivalent.
• Experience integrating on-premises networks with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and managing hybrid environments.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation purposes.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and to produce clear, concise documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
