Job Description

We’re looking for a Multimedia Programmer who’s equal parts developer and creative technologist. You’ll be the person who brings interactive digital experiences to life—integrating audio, video, 2D/3D graphics, and responsive design into seamless, real-time environments. Our projects live across platforms—interactive installations, e-learning modules, virtual exhibits, and immersive web experiences. You’ll work closely with visual designers, animators, and UX specialists to turn static content into dynamic, reactive systems.

You won’t be making banner ads or templated video content. We’re after someone who can code custom multimedia logic, optimize performance across devices, and push the limits of real-time rendering with creativity and intent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom interactive applications using engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, or Three.js.
  • Integrate media assets (audio, video, animation) with dynamic input/output systems.
  • Build and maintain performance-optimized multimedia layers for web, mobile, and on-site installations.
  • Collaborate with motion designers and UX teams to prototype and iterate on visual logic.
  • Write clean, modular code with strong documentation for both internal handoff and long-term maintenance.
  • Implement custom APIs to support real-time data visualizations and live user input.
  • Optimize asset pipelines—audio compression, video transcoding, and shader performance.
  • Conduct device/browser testing for interactivity, timing, and media sync integrity.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Interactive Media, Game Development, or similar—or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in multimedia programming with real-time or interactive content.
  • Proven expertise with one or more of the following: Unity (C#), Three.js (JavaScript/WebGL), Unreal Engine (Blueprints/C++).
  • Strong understanding of digital media formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
  • Ability to manage media streams, event timelines, and interactive states efficiently.
  • Solid grasp of shader logic, particle systems, and real-time visual effects.
  • Experience working with animation libraries or timeline-based media (GSAP, Lottie, or Spine).

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with AR/VR toolkits like ARKit, WebXR, or Vuforia.
  • Experience with spatial audio engines and MIDI/OSC integration.
  • Background in installation-based or physical computing projects (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, TouchDesigner).
  • Interest in generative visuals or AI-enhanced multimedia content.
