Job Description

We’re looking for a Multimedia Artist who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, design, and technology. This is not a plug-and-play production role — we’re seeking someone who understands visual hierarchy, can design within brand constraints without being boxed in, and knows when to break the rules for impact. You’ll be creating immersive, motion-rich visuals for web, social, and interactive platforms — not just to entertain, but to explain, provoke, or persuade. Whether it’s animating a product launch, designing assets for AR/VR experiences, or building out a motion toolkit from scratch, you’ll bring conceptual thinking and a multidisciplinary approach to every frame.

You’ll collaborate with creative directors, UX designers, and engineers — so you must be comfortable defending your ideas and receptive to critique. Projects vary in pace and scale, but quality never drops. You’ll need the vision of a director, the speed of a motion designer, and the detail-orientation of a UI artist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and animate short-form video content, product visuals, explainer videos, and interactive UI elements
  • Create storyboards, style frames, and prototypes for approval and iteration
  • Translate abstract concepts into digestible, visual metaphors through 2D/3D animation
  • Build and manage a reusable asset library (motion templates, icon systems, transitions)
  • Develop branded motion systems that feel consistent across platforms and screen types
  • Push boundaries with motion in product experiences (scroll effects, onboarding animations, microinteractions)
  • Work cross-functionally with UX, dev, and marketing teams to align vision and execution
  • Stay ahead of visual trends in motion, AR/VR, and interactive media

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in motion design, visual effects, or digital media (agency or in-house)
  • Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop; bonus if you know Blender, C4D, Figma, Unity
  • Strong sense of timing, pacing, and composition in motion graphics
  • Portfolio must demonstrate original thinking, not just template-based animation
  • Comfort working with voiceover, sound design, and timing dialogue-driven visuals
  • Experience designing for multiple formats (vertical, widescreen, interactive touchscreens, etc.)
  • Ability to work in nonlinear workflows (we often circle back) and under tight turnarounds
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practices for motion and interactive elements
  • Strong communication skills — written and verbal — and comfort presenting creative work
  • Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Visual Communication, Digital Media, or equivalent experience

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with generative media (RunwayML, TouchDesigner, etc.)
  • Prior work with SaaS product interfaces or interactive explainers
  • Understanding of scripting/expressions in AE or procedural animation workflows
  • Comfort editing audio or working closely with sound engineers
