Job Description
About the Role
We’re looking for a Multimedia Artist who can conceptualize and execute visual narratives that are layered, cinematic, and purposeful. This role goes beyond animating logos or polishing templates — we need someone who blends hand-drawn assets with motion, augments footage with experimental overlays, and can construct visually cohesive sequences that feel intentional and bold.
Key Responsibilities
- Visual Storyboarding & Conceptual Design
Translate written or verbal briefs into compelling visual sequences, not just static comps. Collaborate closely with writers, directors, and sound designers to sync visuals with tone and pacing. - Mixed Media Integration
Combine illustration, video, motion graphics, and 2D/3D animation into unified visuals. You should be as comfortable compositing raw footage as you are building something entirely synthetic. - Technical Execution Across Platforms
Deliver media-ready assets optimized for different outputs: exhibition installations, immersive interfaces, digital campaigns, and editorial content. Knowledge of frame rates, color space, and compression formats is expected. - Experimental Content Development
Use techniques like rotoscoping, procedural animation, glitch processing, and analog/digital blending to build original visuals. Experience with custom plug-ins, scripting (e.g. After Effects expressions, TouchDesigner patches), or live visual setups is a plus. - Feedback & Revision Loops
Participate in live review sessions and iterate based on detailed creative direction — not just technical fixes. Critical thinking and intentional design decisions are required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years in a visual production role, preferably within a cross-disciplinary team.
- Deep proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of 3D tools like Cinema 4D, Blender, or Maya — particularly for compositing and stylized 3D work.
- Strong visual storytelling instincts. Ability to create rhythm, impact, and continuity without relying on templates or stock transitions.
- Understanding of audio/visual sync and collaboration with sound editors or composers.
- A portfolio that demonstrates originality, complexity, and a willingness to experiment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with live projection mapping, AR/VR media, or interactive installations.
- Background in illustration, traditional animation, or stop-motion techniques.
- Comfortable producing under tight timelines without sacrificing quality.
