Your new role

As a Senior Backend‑leaning Software Engineer, you will design, build and maintain backend services across both the legacy and modern .NET stacks. You’ll work on customer onboarding APIs, participate in migration efforts to .NET 8, and manage end‑to‑end delivery of features. The role includes working directly with SQL databases, troubleshooting and enhancing legacy systems, and integrating backend services with internal frontends and platform components. While the role is predominantly backend, occasional light UI tasks may be required.

What you’ll need to succeed

Strong backend engineering capability using .NET
Experience with both .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET 8 APIs
Hands‑on SQL experience, including schema design and optimisation
Ability to work autonomously and make strong technical decisions
Solid understanding of API design, distributed systems and backend architecture
Confidence working within legacy codebases while contributing to modernisation
Exposure to microservices, event‑driven patterns or message‑based systems (advantageous)
Experience with Playwright or automated API testing (nice to have)
Background in regulated or financial services environments (advantageous)
