MS SQL Database Administrator

Job Description

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced MS SQL DBA with 6+ years of relevant experience in SQL Server and Windows administration.

The candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills along with exposure to DevOps, automation, and Agile delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities :

– Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot MS SQL Server databases and Windows environments.

– Perform database maintenance, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and production support.

– Troubleshoot complex database, application, and system issues and perform root-cause analysis.

– Work with SSIS, SSAS, PL/SQL, and Control-M for ETL, analytics, and job scheduling activities.

– Use Python for scripting and automation of operational tasks.

– Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams for application and database deployments.

– Support CI/CD pipelines and database deployment automation.

– Participate in Agile ceremonies and follow established DevOps practices.

Required Skills :

– 6+ years of relevant MS SQL DBA experience.

– Strong experience in SQL Server & Windows Administration.

– Good knowledge of PL/SQL, SSIS, SSAS, Control-M, and Python.

– Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

– Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.

– Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

– Exposure to Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub, and other DevOps tools.

– Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
