Job Description
We’re looking for a Motion Graphics Designer who doesn’t just animate—but thinks in systems, solves with rhythm, and knows how to direct attention without overwhelming it. This role is for someone who can interpret brand narratives and turn them into kinetic visual storytelling that lives across digital campaigns, product launches, and internal initiatives. You’ll work closely with writers, visual designers, marketers, and product teams to craft motion content that feels polished, smart, and purposeful—never just movement for movement’s sake.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate conceptual ideas into compelling motion graphics and animated stories for product explainers, sizzle reels, UI animations, social media, and paid ads.
- Build and maintain motion systems and templates aligned with brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Collaborate with the creative team to storyboard and animate sequences that enhance storytelling without overshadowing content.
- Push visual language using motion principles—timing, anticipation, weight—while staying grounded in usability and viewer experience.
- Take rough sketches or written prompts and turn them into fully realized motion designs with minimal supervision.
- Edit raw footage or motion renders, occasionally incorporating typography, sound design cues, or subtle visual effects.
- Optimize assets for multi-channel deployment (web, mobile, broadcast, presentations, etc.).
- Maintain awareness of current trends in animation, design systems, and emerging tools like Lottie or bodymovin integrations.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience specifically in motion design, animation, or visual storytelling within a brand, agency, or production house.
- Expert in After Effects and Cinema 4D (or Blender), with solid proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere.
- Strong eye for typography, layout, and pacing—especially under time constraints.
- Able to work with vector assets, 2D rigging, camera movement, and transitions that feel intentional.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and how motion guides interaction (microinteractions, onboarding, hover states).
- Bonus if you’ve worked with real-time animation tools, Lottie, Rive, or used expressions in After Effects to automate motion.
- Portfolio that showcases range—from kinetic type to narrative-based animation, with a brief description of your role in each project.
- Comfortable giving and receiving design feedback; you’re not precious about your work, but you defend good ideas with clarity.
- Curious, collaborative, and always questioning how motion can make communication smarter—not just flashier.
