Job Description

We are seeking a Motion Graphics Designer who thrives at the intersection of design and narrative. This role is ideal for someone who doesn’t just animate for the sake of movement but understands when to hold still to build tension, when to pace for clarity, and when to push for aesthetic impact. You’ll work alongside brand strategists, video editors, and UX/UI designers to translate abstract concepts and complex data into motion pieces that resonate across digital platforms.

The right candidate is not only fluent in After Effects but also brings an editorial eye to design—understanding framing, hierarchy, and emotional cues. You should have a point of view about visual rhythm and storytelling structure, and be ready to challenge assumptions in favor of more engaging outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop motion design solutions for marketing campaigns, brand videos, social content, and product explainers.
  • Animate logos, typographic elements, and abstract illustrations in a way that enhances clarity and reinforces brand tone.
  • Work closely with copywriters, illustrators, and video editors to storyboard, prototype, and refine concepts.
  • Translate data and technical ideas into engaging motion graphics using kinetic typography, infographics, and mixed media.
  • Optimize animations for a range of platforms: web, mobile, large displays, and social media.
  • Maintain organized project files, animation libraries, and version control for collaborative team use.
  • Occasionally develop lightweight 3D assets or collaborate with 3D artists to integrate depth into animations.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in motion graphics, ideally within a creative agency or product-driven company.
  • Advanced proficiency in After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Familiarity with Cinema 4D or Blender is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of timing, pacing, and visual rhythm in storytelling.
  • Demonstrable experience animating typographic systems and designing for sound (even when muted).
  • A portfolio that showcases both refined aesthetics and conceptual thinking—must include examples of animated explainer videos or branded motion content.
  • Experience working with layered project files, pre-comps, expressions, and efficient workflows.
  • Ability to accept creative feedback and iterate quickly without losing clarity of intent.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards in motion (e.g., motion sensitivity, screen-reader safe design) is a plus.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience building templates or modular systems for motion content reuse.
  • Skill in creating UI motion for product prototypes or design systems.
  • Comfort using Figma or collaborating directly within a design system environment.
