Summary

We are looking for a talented and passionate UI Designer to join our team at Datarock and play a key role in transforming the way we manage geoscientific data. As a UI Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging and intuitive user interfaces across our digital products, ensuring a seamless experience for both customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities

As a UI Designer, you will

  • Create visually stunning, intuitive, and easy-to-use products that users love, ensuring the design is elegant and the user experience exceptional.
  • Collaborate closely with the product and development teams throughout the design process, ensuring consistency and quality across all product touch points.
  • Design and maintain reusable UI components, contributing to a unified design system that adheres to best practices.
  • Prepare and deliver digital assets, ensuring they are ready for implementation by the development team.
  • Optimise designs to be visually appealing and functional across different screen sizes and devices.

Qualifications/requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a UI Designer with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, user-friendly designs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for creating visually compelling designs.
  • Good understanding of UX principles to inform visual direction.
  • Experience working within an agile product environment and applying user-centred design methodologies.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to transform wireframes into visually striking designs.
  • Deep knowledge of design fundamentals, including colour theory, typography, and layout principles.
  • Experience in creating style guides and design systems, with a solid understanding of atomic design.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and a commitment to designing for inclusivity.
  • Ability to balance creativity with business needs and technical constraints.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams.
