Job Description

Role Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a variety of projects, from greenfield custom web apps through to enhancements on existing platforms.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and frontend developers to deliver high-quality Laravel applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions using Laravel best practices.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Create and optimise database schemas, queries, and migrations.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with strong attention to security.
• Use modern workflows including Git, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Engage with clients (with project manager support) to understand technical needs and propose solutions.
• Stay current with evolving PHP, Laravel, and web development trends.

Requirements

• Proven experience building applications with Laravel (mid-level).
• Strong proficiency with PHP and modern OOP practices.
• Solid experience with MySQL (schema design, query optimisation).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API integrations.
• Familiarity with modern tooling (Composer, Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines).
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Understanding of coding best practices, design patterns, and application security.
