Role Overview

In this role, you will work on structured, outcome-driven machine learning tasks that explore model behavior, optimization, and training workflows. The engagement is remote, asynchronous, and part-time, designed for professionals who value clarity, rigor, and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft detailed natural-language plans and code implementations for machine learning tasks
• Translate novel machine learning problems into agent-executable tasks for reinforcement learning environments
• Identify model failure modes and apply targeted improvements to ML or LLM-generated outputs
• Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of model performance across varied workloads

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or a PhD in Computer Science or a related field with a focus on machine learning
• Strong proficiency in Python and common machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost)
• Experience with data preparation, model training, evaluation, and iteration
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outputs in a structured, remote environment
• Proficiency in English sufficient for professional collaboration
• Legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in your country of residence

Engagement Details

• Expected commitment: Approximately 20 hours per week
• Project duration: Through December 22, with potential extension into 2026 based on project needs and performance
• Fully remote engagement with flexible scheduling
• Compensation varies based on experience and project requirements and is paid weekly via approved payment platforms
