Job Description

We’re looking for a logo designer who thrives on uncovering brand DNA and translating it into unforgettable marks. You won’t just be “making a logo” — you’ll be crafting a visual anchor that shapes how people remember and relate to a brand. From typography-first identity systems to clever, minimal monograms with hidden meaning, you understand that good logos are more than decorative: they communicate.

You’ll join our small but sharp creative team, working across naming, brand strategy, and visual development. Expect to lead logo explorations, present concept rationale with clarity, and push for scalable identity systems that extend far beyond a social avatar.

If you obsess over kerning, lose sleep over whether the mark works inverted on a ballcap, and can defend your design without ego, let’s talk.

Responsibilities

  • Lead logo concept development from rough sketches to final vector refinement
  • Create identity systems that scale across digital, print, packaging, and motion
  • Collaborate with brand strategists, copywriters, and marketing leads to align visual direction with brand positioning
  • Present concepts with compelling rationale rooted in research and intent
  • Test marks across real-world use cases (e.g. favicon, embroidery, signage, app icons)
  • Stay aware of logo design trends while aiming for timeless results
  • Deliver organized, production-ready files with usage guidelines and rationale

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience focused on logo and identity design (agency or in-house)
  • A portfolio demonstrating a range of logo solutions and identity systems, including at least 3 examples with documented concept rationale
  • Strong command of typography and custom letterform development
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Figma; bonus for After Effects
  • Experience building responsive or variable logo systems (not just one static mark)
  • Comfortable with feedback loops, critiques, and refining based on testing and client input
  • Ability to think strategically and ask the right questions before jumping into design

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience working with naming or brand strategy teams
  • Familiarity with motion graphics for animated logos or launch videos
  • A curiosity for symbols, language, and cross-cultural branding implications
