Lead Interaction Designer

Job Description

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Extensive experience in user-centred design (UCD) and interaction design methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead complex, content-driven digital projects.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Deep understanding of information architecture, content taxonomy, and content modelling.
• Knowledge of web accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA).
• Excellent skills in developing high-fidelity prototypes and reusable visual components.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including researchers, developers, and content designers.
• Experience designing responsive interfaces for both desktop and mobile platforms.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Drupal content management systems and component-based design.
• Knowledge of front-end web development, including responsive and cross-browser compatible design.
• Awareness of cutting-edge interactive techniques and methods for both desktop and mobile environments.
• Familiarity with digital service delivery standards and best practices in government or public sectors.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Relevant qualification or equivalent professional experience in interaction design, UX/UI, digital design, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience working on government or public-facing websites.
• Proven track record in managing stakeholder expectations and translating user needs into innovative design solutions.
