An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly skilled technology team in what is effectively the most senior hands-on infrastructure position within the organisation.

This role suits an experienced infrastructure specialist who enjoys solving complex technical problems, leading major incident investigations and taking ownership of critical enterprise platforms. You’ll act as the senior escalation point for infrastructure issues, contribute to technology strategy and play a key role in improving operational resilience across the environment.

What you’ll need to succeed

This opportunity is suited to a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer or Technical Lead who thrives in complex enterprise environments. You will be comfortable owning critical infrastructure platforms, leading major technical investigations, driving infrastructure improvement initiatives and influencing the future direction of a modern technology estate.

You’ll bring a blend of deep technical expertise, architectural thinking and hands-on delivery experience, with a proven ability to lead complex projects while remaining close to the technology.

Essential experience includes:

• Deep expertise across Citrix technologies within large-scale enterprise environments
• Strong experience designing, implementing and supporting Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy environments
• Proven cloud infrastructure experience across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience leading infrastructure upgrade, transformation and modernisation initiatives
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management and root cause analysis capability across business-critical systems
• Enterprise storage experience including SAN, iSCSI and highly available infrastructure platforms
• Microsoft 365, Entra ID and hybrid identity management experience
• Experience developing infrastructure standards, operational processes and technical documentation
• The ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and influence infrastructure strategy whilst remaining hands-on
