Job Description
This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can define cloud and DevOps standards, drive automation, improve platform reliability, strengthen security, and mentor engineering teams while remaining deeply involved in architecture and implementation.
Key Responsibilities :
AWS Cloud & Architecture :
– Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure for enterprise and FinTech workloads.
– Define cloud architecture standards covering compute, networking, identity, security, storage, observability, and disaster recovery.
– Design and manage AWS environments using services including EC2, EKS, ECS, ECR, VPC, IAM, ALB, Route 53, CloudFront, S3, EBS, Lambda, Auto Scaling, SQS, SNS, and CloudWatch.
– Establish and maintain AWS multi-account architectures using AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and Landing Zone principles.
– Drive cloud platform standardization, automation, scalability, resilience, and operational excellence.
– Evaluate existing infrastructure and identify opportunities for modernization, performance improvement, and cost optimization.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation :
– Lead the adoption and implementation of Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code across cloud environments.
– Develop reusable Terraform modules and standardized infrastructure patterns to improve consistency and eliminate configuration drift.
– Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, operational tasks, and environment management.
– Promote automation-first engineering practices across the DevOps organization.
Kubernetes & Container Platforms :
– Lead the design, implementation, and operational management of Amazon EKS and Kubernetes platforms.
– Establish Kubernetes standards for deployments, services, ingress, RBAC, namespaces, secrets, ConfigMaps, persistent storage, health probes, autoscaling, and high availability.
– Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Amazon ECR, EKS, and ECS.
– Implement scalable deployment strategies including rolling deployments, rolling rollbacks, self-healing, horizontal pod autoscaling, and cluster autoscaling.
– Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes, networking, application, and infrastructure issues in production environments.
– Establish best practices for Kubernetes security, reliability, observability, and platform lifecycle management.
CI/CD :
– Design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise CI/CD platforms using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, and SonarQube.
– Develop standardized pipelines supporting automated build, code quality, security validation, deployment, rollback, and release processes.
– Modernize legacy CI/CD pipelines and reduce manual deployment activities through automation.
– Lead source-control and CI/CD platform migrations, including repository migration, integrations, credentials, webhooks, and pipeline modernization.
– Implement deployment strategies that support controlled, repeatable, and low-risk production releases.
– Partner with development teams to embed DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Security, Governance & DevSecOps :
– Build security into cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and operational processes.
– Implement AWS IAM, RBAC, network security, least-privilege access, security groups, and policy-based controls.
– Support secure AWS multi-account governance.
– Promote secure infrastructure and deployment practices across engineering teams.
– Integrate automated code quality and security controls into CI/CD workflows.
– Ensure infrastructure and deployment processes support auditability, traceability, controlled change, and operational risk reduction.
