L2/L3 Java Support Engineer

Job Description

About the Role :

We are conducting a scheduled Walk-In Drive for skilled professionals with strong experience in Java-based Application Support, UNIX/Shell Scripting, and L2 / L3 Production Support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, incident management, and supporting enterprise applications in a 24×7 environment.

Key Responsibilities :

– Provide L2 / L3 support for Java-based applications in a production environment.

– Perform analysis and troubleshooting of issues related to application functionality, performance, and system errors.

– Work extensively on UNIX/Linux systems, including log analysis and job monitoring.

– Develop and maintain Shell Scripts for automation and environment maintenance.

– Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and QA teams for root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.

– Handle incident, problem, and change management processes.

– Ensure adherence to SLAs with quick resolution and documentation of issues.

– Provide support during releases, deployments, and environment migrations.

Required Skills :

– Strong hands-on experience in Java (Core Java preferred for support roles).

– Proficiency in UNIX/Linux commands and log analysis.

– Good knowledge and practical experience in Shell Scripting.

– Background in IT Operations, IT Support, or System Administration.

– Experience in L2 / L3 Application Support for enterprise systems.

– Exposure to multi-paradigm programming and scripting tools is an added advantage.

– Strong communication and analytical skills.

Good to Have :

– Knowledge of server administration and infrastructure-level troubleshooting.

– Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, etc.).

– Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and monitoring tools.
