Junior Tech Support Agent (Level 1)

Job Description

The role offers a mix of help desk support, system setup, troubleshooting, customer training, and occasional onsite work. Some local and interstate travel may be required.What you’ll be doing

• Providing help desk support for our POS software, back-office systems, PCs, peripherals, and networking
• Preparing, installing, and configuring Windows-based POS and back-office systems
• Troubleshooting technical issues and assisting customers with system setup and operation
• Supporting POS hardware including receipt printers, cash drawers, barcode scanners, scales, and EFTPOS devices
• Assisting with customer training across POS, administration, reporting, and related system functions
• Recording work completed and maintaining clear, accurate job notes
• Attending site visits for installations, upgrades, and support when required
• Assisting with related integrations and connected systems where needed

• Ability to work well in a team and also take initiative when required

Technical knowledge or interest in the following is important

• Windows PCs and general hardware/software troubleshooting
• PC peripherals and device setup
• TCP/IP networking
• Internet and router communications
• General fault finding and technical support

Experience in any of the following will be an advantage

• Customer service or help desk support
• POS or accounting software
• Retail operations
• Excel
• Microsoft SQL Server or reporting
• WordPress, WooCommerce or Shopify
