Junior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team as we design and build a next-generation mining machine.we need someone with the grit to see complex components through from the first sketch to the final assembly.

What You’ll Do

• 3D Design & Drafting: Use 3D CAD software to create precise models and technical drawings for heavy-duty mining components.
• Project Coordination: Develop and track project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and potential bottlenecks are identified early.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of designs, material specs, and revisions.
• Problem Solving: Tackle engineering hurdles with tenacity, sticking with a problem until a functional, safe solution is found.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and fabrication teams to ensure designs are “build-ready.”

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo).
• Project Mindset: Familiarity with scheduling tools (like Microsoft Project or Gantt charts) and a strong grasp of timelines.
• Meticulous Nature: An eagle eye for detail—missing a millimetre in mining can mean a week of downtime.
• Resilience: The “tenacity” factor—you don’t get discouraged when a prototype fails; you figure out why and fix it.
