Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the required capabilities in the following areas:

  • Developing and maintaining web applications using Visual Basic, PHP, and ASP.
  • Writing and optimising SQL queries for Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Creating and managing scripts for automation and task management.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain cutting-edge.
  • Developing with a security first approach and to ensure that all developments meet the cyber security requirements of SCT.

Desired Skills and Experience

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with version control systems
  • Knowledge of web security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • 1+ years of experience as a developer
  • Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Visual Basic, PHP, ASP, and scripting languages.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL programming.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • The successful candidate will have to undertake an Australian Federal Police check and Pre-Employment Medical (for certain roles) which will be arranged and paid for by SCT.
