Job Summary

We’re looking for a Junior Developer who’s ready to move beyond tutorials and step directly into product-driven development. You’ll join a team that ships weekly and gives juniors real ownership from week one. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to “watch and learn” — we want someone who learns by doing, who writes real code that reaches users, and who is energized by being surrounded by fast-moving engineers who care about quality. You’ll get frequent code reviews, access to design and product discussions, and support to level up in both technical and architectural thinking.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to active sprints by owning small but critical components of new product features
  • Write, test, and debug code in TypeScript (React) and Go, following existing architectural conventions
  • Participate in 2x/week architecture reviews and justify code choices with performance and readability in mind
  • Use our internal CLI tools for spinning up ephemeral environments; contribute to improving these tools as you learn
  • Review at least one pull request per day once onboarded (with mentorship provided)
  • Support issue triage with our dev-embedded support team — you won’t be on call, but you’ll see the impact of your work

What We Expect

  • Academic or bootcamp background in data structures and software design principles, not just frameworks
  • Proficiency in Git workflows: feature branching, rebase/merge conflicts, commit squashing
  • Familiarity with containerized development (Docker) and willingness to work within that ecosystem
  • Experience writing unit tests and basic end-to-end tests (e.g., Cypress or Playwright preferred)
  • Evidence of working on at least one real project with RESTful APIs or GraphQL, beyond a tutorial
  • Clear written communication — you’ll document your decisions in the repo, not just in Slack
  • Eagerness to be corrected and mentored — you won’t be micromanaged, but we will push you to level up
