Junior Data Analyst

Who we’re looking for
We’re open to candidates from a range of technical and analytical backgrounds, as long as you have strong fundamentals, real hands-on Python capability, and the attitude to learn quickly in a finance environment.

Must-haves

• Hands-on Python skills for data manipulation, reporting automation, or analysis
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large or messy datasets
• Evidence that you’ve worked on real analytical problems through internships, projects, placements, or an early-career role
• High attention to detail and a careful approach to data quality and accuracy
• Strong learning agility, ownership, and willingness to grow in a junior role
• Ability to work in office in Melbourne

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to Power BI
• Experience working with financial, lending, transaction, or operational datasets
• A background in data, maths, statistics, econometrics, engineering, computer science, BI, analytics, or a technical finance-related discipline
• Experience in improving or automating recurring reporting processes
• Exposure to fintech, lending, banking, payments, or a similar environment
