Junior Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Description

This is a position for you if you are early in your security career, or a junior software engineer (SWE) or site reliability engineer (SRE) looking to pivot into application security.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Tracking vulnerabilities through remediation: making sure findings are documented, assigned, and followed up in a timely manner.
• Supporting security checks in our CI/CD pipelines (SAST, dependency scanning, container scanning) under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participating in security reviews during early design phases by reading threat models and design docs and asking the right security questions.
• Building small automations and improvements to vulnerability scanning, reporting, and notifications.
• Helping gather evidence and documentation for security audits (PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
• Keeping yourself up-to-date with the latest news in the IT security world.
  

About You

• Demonstrable hands-on cybersecurity ability, through CTF/competition results, a portfolio of security projects, bug bounty findings, published write-ups, or equivalent practical work.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python), with the ability to read and reason about code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on well-scoped tasks with senior guidance.
