IT Systems Analyst

Your new role

As the IT Systems Analyst, you’ll work across infrastructure, SQL, and a highly customised ERP environment. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, technical depth, and working in a small IT team where you’ll have real influence.

You will:

• Provide Level 2 support across Windows Server and core infrastructure.
• Analyse and debug SQL issues, including stored procedures.
• Support and maintain a heavily customised legacy ERP with no vendor support.
• Assist with integrating a newly acquired NZ business into the ERP system.
• Contribute to long‑term planning for future system and ERP improvements.

This is a broad role covering day‑to‑day support, systems troubleshooting, and mid‑range project work, with plenty of autonomy and ownership across the environment.

What you’ll need to succeed

Technical Skills

• Strong experience supporting and configuring Windows Server and core Microsoft technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL, including tracing, debugging and writing stored procedures.
• Exposure to ERP systems — particularly customised, legacy or unsupported platforms.
• Experience delivering Level 2 infrastructure support (GPO, login issues, printing, server‑side troubleshooting).

Preferred Background

• Experience working in a small team or SME environment where multitasking is essential.
• Background as a Systems Analyst with a background in providing support.
• Experience supporting bespoke business systems with minimal vendor support.
• Understanding of wholesale, retail, manufacturing or distribution workflows (advantageous but not essential).
