We’re looking for a capable and reliable Level 1 & 2 IT Support Officer to join our small internal IT team. In this hands-on role, you’ll support staff across seven locations throughout Brisbane’s southern suburbs, Redlands and Ipswich.
Based at Springwood, you’ll enjoy a hybrid work arrangement with a mix of office, on-site, and work-from-home days. This is a dynamic position offering broad exposure across systems, networks, and user support – ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-level IT support via:
- Helpdesk tickets (using an internal ticketing system)
- Phone and remote support
- Face-to-face on-site support across our various locations
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
- Windows 10/11 desktops and laptops
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID)
- Android phones and tablets
- Common Windows applications (Office, Edge, Adobe Reader)
- VoIP systems and basic networking
- Printing, scanning, and toner management
- Set up new users and IT equipment
- Communicate with third-party vendors and service providers
- Document ticket resolutions and contribute to IT Knowledge Base articles
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development
What you’ll bring:
- At least 12 months of IT support experience, OR
- Relevant IT qualification (must be in second year or beyond)
(First-year students or those with under 12 months’ experience need not apply)
Demonstratable skills:
- Ability to communicate and articulate clearly and in a professional manner
- High attention to detail and task follow-through
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11
- Comfortable assisting people via support tickets, over the phone and in person
- Professional communication skills – clear, calm, and confident
- Self-motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn
- Current driver’s licence and own reliable transport
(Note: motorbikes are not suitable due to occasional equipment transport requirements)
Desirable experience:
- Cisco Meraki networking
- Windows Server 2019+, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS
- Palo Alto firewall
- Microsoft 365 admin tools (including Entra ID)
- Auto-IT (Units)
- 8×8 VoIP systems
