Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking an Interactive Designer who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, user experience, and interface design. This role is not for template-driven thinkers. You will shape how users experience complex digital products by designing interfaces that are responsive, intelligent, and behaviorally-driven. You will collaborate closely with UX researchers, product managers, and front-end developers to translate insights into tactile, functional, and emotionally resonant digital interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype advanced interactive experiences for web and mobile platforms using tools like Figma, Framer, or ProtoPie.
- Create motion-based interaction models and functional microinteractions that guide user attention and elevate usability.
- Translate abstract user flows and data into visual and interactive systems that scale across devices.
- Partner with front-end developers to ensure designs are implemented with precision; provide interaction specs, animation timings, and transition behaviors.
- Conduct rapid iteration based on user testing data, KPIs, and stakeholder feedback.
- Collaborate with accessibility experts to design interactions that meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards without compromising innovation.
- Lead the creation of component libraries and interaction guidelines to support design system evolution.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience specifically in interactive design (not just UI design) within digital product teams.
- Portfolio that demonstrates high-fidelity prototypes, motion design principles, and custom interaction work—not just static screens.
- Proficient in advanced prototyping tools such as Framer, Principle, Lottie, or After Effects for interface animation and transitions.
- Deep understanding of usability heuristics, human-computer interaction models, and responsive design beyond breakpoints.
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS frameworks like React or Vue) and how they inform feasible interaction design.
- Ability to document interaction specs in a dev-friendly format, including states, timing, gestures, and conditional behaviors.
- Experience designing for complex user flows, such as dashboard systems, multi-step onboarding, or data-heavy interfaces.
- Comfortable working within Agile or dual-track design environments.
