Your new role

Reporting to the Communications and Stakeholder Management team, you will play a key role in developing engaging visual content that supports stakeholder engagement, community consultation and strategic communications initiatives. You will create high-quality creative solutions across print, digital, video and online platforms while ensuring consistency with government branding and accessibility standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering high-quality creative design solutions that support strategic communication objectives and engage diverse stakeholders and communities.
  • Providing expert visual design and digital communication advice to executives, project teams and key stakeholders.
  • Designing and producing a wide range of communication materials including videos, brochures, newsletters, displays, presentations, social media content, maps, publications and digital advertising.
  • Translating complex information into engaging visual content that is accessible, informative and aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
  • Coordinating external suppliers including printers, photographers, videographers, illustrators and other creative service providers.
  • Providing technical support and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the communications function.
  • Collaborating with graphic design teams across the department to promote consistency, innovation and best practice.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced graphic design professional with a strong portfolio of creative work and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will also possess:

  • Demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong skills across graphic design, digital communications, visual storytelling and content creation.
  • Experience producing high-quality creative work within large corporate or government environments.
  • Working knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the creation of accessible digital documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
