Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a Graphic Designer who thrives on structure and visual cohesion—but knows when and how to break the grid. This role isn’t about churning out social media posts. You’ll be designing modular brand systems, building scalable visual assets, and translating complex product or service concepts into compelling visuals that maintain clarity without sacrificing impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a structured brand design system that ensures consistency across print, digital, motion, and environmental applications.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and content teams to translate technical or abstract ideas into visuals that clarify, not complicate.
- Design for a wide range of mediums: pitch decks, interactive PDFs, landing pages, event materials, and key campaign visuals.
- Create visual hierarchies and layout systems that can scale across multiple content formats (e.g., a conference series, whitepaper templates, or a modular icon system).
- Audit existing design assets and rebuild where needed; redundancy and inconsistency are enemies.
- Participate in regular design critiques and contribute thoughtful feedback with a bias toward functionality and originality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in brand, marketing, or system-based design roles (agency or in-house).
- Strong portfolio showing structured brand thinking—grid systems, type hierarchies, scalable templates—not just aesthetic layout.
- Deep understanding of typography and how it applies across various media (especially digital and print).
- Experience with Figma, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects. You don’t need to animate everything, but you should know what makes a motion-ready design.
- Comfortable working from brand constraints—and knowing when to challenge them.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain your design rationale clearly.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience creating scalable icon libraries and visual systems for product or service ecosystems.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards in visual design.
- Previous work with data visualization or complex diagramming.
- Ability to collaborate with developers on handoff-ready UI components or design tokens.
