Graduate Software Engineer
Job Description
We’re looking for a motivated learner who’s focused on growth, eager to build their technical skills, and committed to becoming a strong, contributing teammate. In this role, you’ll work on well-scoped tasks using Java, apply feedback to improve, and actively engage with your team to solve problems and deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and open to continuous learning through collaboration and self-driven development.
A day in the life might be something like this:
- Use Java as the coding language of choice.
- Flexible, adaptable to change, and have a growth mentality, learning quickly from feedback.
- Effectively manage your time and well-being to meet commitments, raising concerns about scope or timeline as needed.
- Proactively address blockers by asking for support.
- Actively participate in team discussions, ask clarifying questions, and follow documented processes.
But note, this list isn’t exhaustive and we want you to bring your skills to the role and work with our Technical Lead to make the role yours.
The ideal profile were looking for might be something like this:
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Any scripting languages
- NoSQL Databases
- Kube/Containerization knowledge
Again – this list isn’t exhaustive but will give a solid basis of knowledge to be successful in the role.
