Job Description

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our Sydney or Brisbane Studio applications from both locations will be considered. The Full Stack Developer plays an integral role within our Systems team, helping to shape, build and maintain Hames Sharley’s internal web platform. You’ll work across people, project, knowledge, business development and operational systems, creating innovative solutions and seamless integrations that keep our business connected, efficient and data driven.

Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Design, build, test and deliver full-stack features across our internal platform, spanning front-end, back-end and supporting services.
  • Build and maintain integrations with the practice’s core business systems including power BI, Azure, Employment hero.
  • Maintain production data integrity through backups, change control and risk management.
  • Propose improvements to development practice — tooling, testing, code review and release — that reduce risk and effort over time. 
  • Maintain and improve the platform’s search, notification and reporting surfaces.
  • Ensure development and release practices support the AS/NZS ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the practice’s quality assurance requirements. 
  • Manage the hosting configuration and environment settings that the application depends on, in conjunction with the Systems Administrator. 

To be successful in this role, you should have the below skills set: 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Preferred: 5-8+ years of relevant experience, however applications from candidates with less experience will also be considered.
  • Vendor or professional certification in relevant cloud, development or AECO platforms is favourable (for example Microsoft Azure, AWS, Autodesk). 
  • Proficiency in PHP (Laravel), JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js) and Python, with sound front-end skills across HTML, CSS (Tailwind) and modern component-based interfaces.
