Full Stack Developer
Job Description
We’re creating a new position for a Full Stack Node.js / TypeScript Developer with a passion for applied AI. You’ll report to the IT Development Manager and work from our Gold Coast HQ (hybrid WFH available).
You will design and maintain event-driven and RESTful services that power our internal tools, customer portals, and AI inference pipelines. You will also leverage codegen tools to accelerate delivery and uphold a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Backend: Build and maintain Node.js (18+) services in TypeScript and expose REST APIs.
- AI integration: Orchestrate computer vision and LLM workflows that analyse BuildCam image streams.
- Frontend: Deliver responsive UI components that visualise AI-derived insights.
- Data: Design and optimise MySQL schemas; implement migrations and query tuning.
What We’re Looking For:
- Professional experience shipping Node.js and TypeScript.
- Exposure to AI/ML APIs.
- Solid frontend skills (HTML, CSS, modern JS).
- Comfortable with relational DBs and basic performance tuning.
- Familiar with Git workflows and CI pipelines; AI coding assistants.
- Self-starter who enjoys pair debugging, clean code, and data-driven decision-making.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of containerisation (Docker).
- Interest in computer vision research.
