Job Description

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Frontend Developer who doesn’t just write clean code, but translates nuanced UI/UX into interactive, accessible experiences. You’ll work directly with product designers and backend engineers to implement complex frontends using React, TypeScript, and a design system based on Tailwind or CSS-in-JS (e.g., styled-components). The ideal candidate has strong opinions about interaction quality, performance, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant web interfaces using React and TypeScript
  • Translate Figma prototypes into pixel-accurate components while collaborating with designers to resolve edge cases
  • Build and extend a modular design system using Tailwind, CSS Modules, or styled-components
  • Integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs, handling asynchronous data and loading states with care
  • Optimize frontend bundles and assets for load time and runtime performance
  • Lead code reviews and uphold a strict standard for readability, maintainability, and scalability
  • Write automated unit and integration tests using Jest, React Testing Library, or equivalent
  • Monitor production UIs for performance regressions and accessibility violations

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years professional experience building SPAs with React + TypeScript
  • Deep familiarity with design tokens, component architecture, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 or better)
  • Hands-on experience with TailwindCSS, PostCSS, or CSS-in-JS libraries (e.g., Emotion, styled-components)
  • Proficient in consuming and managing data from GraphQL or REST APIs, including client-side caching
  • Able to debug and profile performance issues using browser dev tools and Lighthouse
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows (feature branching, PRs), and code linting standards
  • Experience collaborating in a team using Scrum or Kanban, contributing to grooming and estimations
  • Portfolio or examples of interfaces you’ve built that reflect real interaction quality (not just templates)
