Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Conduct KYC reviews, corporate accounts on-boarding, name-screening, and other AML procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide compliance advisory to new business initiatives
• Set-up compliance framework and assist in set up standardized operating procedure for new business processes and projects
• Follow up on the field work of regulator’s inspection, investigation, and routine information requests, including but not limited to the SFC, IA, MPFA and HKEx.
• Assist in routine liaison with local regulators, including but not limited to the SFC, IA, MPFA and HKEx.
• Manage timely submission of regulatory returns, filings, and documentation.
• Monitor regulatory developments and changes in laws and regulations and ensure that the company is compliant with all requirements.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate and respond to compliance-related issues, including complaints, incidents, and breaches.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance programme for the company, including policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Perform compliance audit work as second-line of defence of the company
• Provide guidance and support to management and business teams on compliance-related matters.
• Handle other compliance duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in any discipline with 2nd Upper Class Honours and above.
• Up to 2 years of working experience in Risk and Compliance
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Able perform well in a high-pressure environment against tight timelines.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese to effectively communicate with Mandarin and Cantonese-speaking internal or external parties.
• Independent, analytical, meticulous and self-motivated.
• Willing to work on Malaysia Public Holiday when necessary.
• Open to travel overseas.
