Engineering Manager

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead S&OP and integrated systems improvements, embedding CI initiatives across the site.
• Work with Engineering, Maintenance and Site Leadership teams to create a 5 year Strategic Vision for plant upgrades, product line and volume scale-up, quality assurance and equipment lifecycle.
• Oversee plant and equipment lifecycle, maintenance and reliability.
• Assess needs and create a cost analysis breakdown on decisions relating to equipment lifecycle management.
• Prepare and manage CAPEX submissions, supporting project planning, equipment upgrades and validation activities
• Developing and implementing plant maintenance Policies and Procedures for equipment and facilities
• Development and implementation of an effective predictive/preventative maintenance program to ensure the high availability of critical equipment.
• Manage the operation of utilities, including wastewater treatment, to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations in compliance with regulations.
• Ensure facilities, equipment and maintenance activities are fully compliant with GMP, Company Quality Systems, EHS SOPs and EHS regulations
• Promote the use of operational excellence tools to ensure competitive advantages in the industry
• Develop, coach and mentor the engineering team guaranteeing growth of capability
• Provide support and on-site leadership for colleagues reporting into the Global Manufacturing Technology function

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical or Equivalent Degree
• A minimum of 10 years professional experience preferably in a GMP Certified manufacturing environment in a pharma, medical or food manufacture.
• A demonstrated knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice
• The ability to encourage team collaboration and to build effective partnerships both internally and externally
• You will be highly organised and be able to balance responsibilities and prioritise competing projects
• You will possess excellent decision making and communications skills and be able to effectively convey information to teams
• You will possess people management experience and be able to develop teams, empower people and instil a culture of operational excellence
• You will thrive in a Change Management culture and be able to instil this as best practice within the team
