Engineering Delivery Lead

Your new role

You will take ownership of engineering delivery across Cloud and Integration streams, leading a team of engineers while remaining close to architecture and design.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:

• drive delivery across multiple squads, ensuring consistent progress against platform and engineering objectives
• own and guide architecture and solution design across AWS and integration platforms
• support and unblock engineers, stepping in technically where required
• Advanced API-led and event-driven integration patterns within the environment
• lead the evolution of an AI-enabled engineering capability, including the adoption of agent-based tooling and AI-assisted development
• uplift delivery practices across DevOps, platform engineering, and self-service capability

The role sits at the centre of a broader transformation agenda, focused on improving engineering velocity and scaling capability across the business.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Strong experience in both cloud architecture (AWS) and integration design/solutioning
• Ability to operate across architecture, delivery, and hands-on problem solving
• Experience in environments where speed of delivery and pragmatism are prioritised
• Background working with event-driven architectures, APIs, and integration platforms (Boomi, MuleSoft or similar)
• Exposure to modern DevOps and platform practices, including infrastructure as code
• Interest in or exposure to AI-enabled development, with a willingness to adopt and embed new ways of working
• Experience in scaling teams or platforms within lean or evolving environments
• A background in financial services or regulated industries is beneficial, but not essential
