Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Digital Developer with demonstrable experience building and optimizing performant, component-driven web experiences across CMS-backed and headless digital platforms. This role demands hands-on development skills, a deep understanding of responsive front-end frameworks, and comfort working across REST/GraphQL APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and modern JavaScript ecosystems.

You will be responsible for developing digital interfaces that are modular, accessible, and maintainable—supporting product, marketing, and content delivery strategies. This is not a website maintenance role; you will build and shape core features that affect user interaction and system scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and deploy digital features using modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably React or Vue) integrated into CMS environments like Contentful, Adobe Experience Manager, or Sanity.
  • Translate Figma or Adobe XD designs into production-ready components with pixel-level accuracy and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
  • Create reusable, documented UI components and enforce consistent application of design tokens across platforms.
  • Work with DevOps engineers to configure deployment workflows and preview environments via GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
  • Optimize front-end build pipelines (Webpack, Vite, etc.) for performance, minimizing TTI, CLS, and LCP scores as measured by Lighthouse and WebPageTest.
  • Maintain and expand a custom design system, collaborating with UX and QA to ensure cross-browser fidelity and semantic structure.
  • Develop and consume APIs (REST, GraphQL) with an emphasis on performance, caching, and error resilience.
  • Collaborate with backend and data engineers to shape digital integrations (e.g., personalization engines, A/B testing platforms, or analytics SDKs).
  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and post-release retrospectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on digital development experience in a product-focused or agency environment.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS/SASS, and at least one major front-end framework (React, Vue, Svelte).
  • Proven experience integrating front-ends with enterprise-level CMS platforms via SDKs or APIs.
  • Solid grasp of SEO, Core Web Vitals, and client-side performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Git versioning, peer-reviewed merge workflows, and feature flag-driven development.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools (Axe, Lighthouse) and manual ARIA implementation.
  • Experience using testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, or Cypress for UI testing.
  • Understanding of responsive design principles beyond media queries—e.g., container queries, fluid typography, etc.
  • Experience with headless architectures and JAMstack principles is essential.
  • Exposure to server-side rendering (e.g., Next.js or Nuxt) and static site generation pipelines.
