Job Description
We’re seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer who thrives on solving infrastructure complexity, automating everything, and collaborating closely with developers to deliver code faster and more reliably. This role isn’t about maintaining existing pipelines — it’s about building scalable, observable, self-healing systems from the ground up. You’ll work in an environment where CI/CD is expected to be more than a buzzword, where infrastructure-as-code is the default, and where performance, security, and reproducibility are baked into every layer of the stack.
You’ll be responsible for leading the modernization of our release architecture across cloud and container platforms. If you’ve ever built ephemeral test environments on Kubernetes, implemented secrets rotation without downtime, or created telemetry dashboards that engineers actually use — you’ll fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain container orchestration environments using Kubernetes (EKS) and Helm.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (we use GitHub Actions and ArgoCD) to support trunk-based development and canary rollouts.
- Champion infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Pulumi across AWS environments.
- Implement and maintain secrets management systems using HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
- Collaborate with developers to make their code easy to build, test, deploy, observe, and roll back.
- Design and maintain incident response tooling and participate in on-call rotations.
- Define and track SLIs/SLOs to improve system reliability and provide feedback loops to engineering.
- Automate everything possible — from environment provisioning to alert tuning.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or related infrastructure engineering role.
- Deep experience with container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Proficiency with at least one infrastructure-as-code framework (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
- Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines with modern tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure at scale — particularly AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC, RDS, EKS, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to implement observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki, etc.).
- Clear understanding of software deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling updates).
- Familiarity with zero-downtime upgrades, configuration management, and rollback strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating security practices into CI/CD workflows (SAST, DAST, SBOM).
- Knowledge of service mesh architecture (e.g., Istio or Linkerd).
- Exposure to compliance requirements (SOC 2, HIPAA) in a DevOps context.
- Contributions to open-source DevOps tools or platforms.
