Who you are

You like owning problems end-to-end. You’re comfortable in an environment where the infrastructure is real hardware, not just cloud abstractions, and you’d rather instrument a system properly than firefight repeatedly. You communicate clearly with engineers, ask good questions, and push back when something doesn’t make sense.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and improving bare-metal and VM infrastructure across multiple physical sites
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI to keep releases smooth and frequent
• Supporting and evolving the infrastructure behind our AI/ML workloads (model deployment, data pipelines)
• Monitoring system health with Grafana and acting on what you find — not just dashboards, but root causes
• Automating operational toil with Python and shell scripting
• Working directly with backend and ML engineers on deployment, environments, and reliability

What we’re looking for

Must-have

• 3+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering role
• Strong Linux fundamentals and shell scripting
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerised workloads
• Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines — ideally with GitLab CI
• Comfort with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
• Basic Python scripting for automation
• Familiarity with Grafana or comparable monitoring tooling

Good to have

• Experience managing physical or on-premise infrastructure (not just cloud)
• Exposure to AI/ML deployment pipelines or data-heavy workloads
• Network and security knowledge in multi-site environments
• Experience working with Jira in an engineering team
