What you will be doing
This role is going to be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and systems, while working closely with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality solutions. The successful candidate will analyse requirements, troubleshoot complex technical issues, participate in code reviews, contribute to Agile ceremonies, and ensure software reliability through thorough testing and adherence to development best practices. The position also requires maintaining technical documentation, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and staying current with emerging technologies to drive innovation. The role is based in our RIG Technologies office in Welshpool and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively on developing and enhancing software products that support business and customer needs.What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in software development, focusing on designing and coding software applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C, C#, Dart).
- Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with web development, databases, and API integration is a plus.
