Developer Programmer
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Developer Programmer to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing, testing, maintaining and improving the company’s online business platform, including e-commerce functions, product catalogue management, online customer enquiry, customised quotation workflow, customer account functions, order tracking and related internal system features.
This role is suitable for a software development professional with strong programming skills, problem-solving ability and experience in developing web-based applications, databases and business system functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Analyse the company’s business requirements and convert them into technical specifications for the development of the company’s online product and customer enquiry platform.
· Design, develop, test and maintain program code for web-based applications, e-commerce functions, customer enquiry modules, quotation workflow and internal management systems.
· Develop and maintain database structures for product information, customer enquiries, quotations, orders, project records and related business data.
· Build and improve online product catalogue functions, including product categories, technical specifications, images, customer enquiry forms and backend management features.
· Develop customised quotation and enquiry workflow functions to support the company’s stainless steel and commercial kitchen-related business operations.
· Integrate the platform with relevant third-party systems where required, including email systems, payment gateway, accounting software, CRM tools, hosting services or other business applications.
· Test, debug and troubleshoot applications to ensure functionality, reliability, security, usability and system performance.
· Monitor system performance, identify technical issues and implement improvements or upgrades as required.
· Develop and maintain user access controls, data backup procedures and system security measures.
· Prepare technical documentation, system specifications, testing records and user guides.
· Work with management and internal staff to understand operational needs and implement system improvements that support business efficiency.
· Maintain, update and improve the company’s digital platform on an ongoing basis to support business growth, customer service and operational requirements.
· Ensure all software development work complies with company policies, data protection requirements and relevant technical standards.
THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
· A relevant tertiary qualification, such as a bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related field.
· At least 1 year of closely related professional experience in software development, web application development, database development or a similar role.
· Strong programming skills and practical experience in web-based application development.
· Experience with relevant programming languages and frameworks, such as PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, React, Vue, Node.js, Python, Java, HTML, CSS, SQL or similar technologies.
· Good understanding of database design, system development, testing, debugging and software maintenance.
· Ability to analyse business requirements and prepare technical solutions.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
