Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a full-stack developer to build and maintain the systems that power our learning platforms and paid services. You will deliver features end to end, from programming and database integration to API build and release, working closely with the education and operations teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.     Develop and maintain PHP based web application features for our learning and service platforms, including backend logic, user workflows, and content delivery components.

2.     Design, integrate, and manage relational databases for platform data, including schema updates, data integrity controls, indexing, and query optimisation to support performance and reporting.

3.     Build secure APIs used by the website and internal tools, including authentication, role based access control, and endpoints for core platform functions.

4.     Implement and support purchase and fulfilment modules for paid products and services, including order tracking, status updates, notifications, and audit logs.

5.     Create and maintain admin panels for internal teams to manage content, pricing, user access, and operational settings, with permissions and activity logging.

6.     Integrate third party services where required, such as email delivery, analytics events, and monitoring logs to improve reliability and user experience.

7.     Maintain production quality through code reviews, testing, release notes, and timely bug fixes based on user and support feedback.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·       Minimum 3 years’ professional experience with PHP or other backend programming languages in production

·       Strong SQL and relational database design, MySQL preferred

·       Experience building REST APIs, authentication, and secure data handling

·       Experience developing modular codebases and maintaining legacy modules

·       Experience working with multilingual content and RTL interfaces is an advantage
