Job Description

Responsibilities

• Build backend APIs and services using .NET/C#.
• Integrate backend services with Conversational AI workflows.
• Develop APIs that can be safely consumed by AI agents/tools.
• Implement validation, error handling, retries, and structured responses.
• Integrate with Azure services such as App Service, Functions, AKS, Key Vault, API Management, App Insights, Service Bus, Event Grid, Storage, or Azure SQL.
• Design, implement and maintain Microservices-based architecture.
• Ensure secure handling of user and consumer data.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
• Work with AI architects, UI developers, QA, DevOps, and SRE teams.

Required Skills

• Strong .NET Core / .NET 6+ / C# experience.
• REST API design and integration experience.
• Handson experience or strong understanding of MCP concepts.
• Azure cloud development experience with Azure Cloud Services – Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, Azure Storage, Azure App Services, Azure Key Vault
• Authentication and authorization using OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, Azure AD/Entra ID, or similar.
• App Insights, Azure Monitor, or structured logging experience.
• SQL/NoSQL database experience.
• Handson experience with Event-driven architecture using Service Bus, Event Grid, Kafka, or similar.
• Understanding of resilient backend design, retries, timeouts, and error handling.
• Unit testing and API testing experience.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of AI Workflows and knowledge/awareness of LangGraph or its alternates
• Exposure to Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, or LLM applications.
• Experience building backend APIs for AI tools or conversational workflows.
• Experience with AKS, containers, CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.
