Role Overview :
As an IT Operation Engineer (Telecom) at DATEN Technology Solution Private Limited, you will be a critical member of our IT Operations team, responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our telecom billing systems and related applications. You will work closely with development, testing, and business teams to provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions that maintain system stability and performance. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and availability of our services, ensuring seamless operations for our telecom clients and their end-users.
Key Responsibilities :
– Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support for telecom billing systems and related applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and minimizing service disruptions.
– Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent incidents and optimize system efficiency.
– Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes.
– Manage and maintain the ServiceNow platform for incident, problem, and change management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
– Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal impact on production environments.
– Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and operational processes, ensuring knowledge sharing and consistency.
– Contribute to the development and implementation of automation tools and scripts to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
– Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet operational needs.
Required Skillset :
– Demonstrated ability to provide production support for complex IT Telecom billing systems, preferably in the telecom domain.
– Proven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to telecom billing systems and related applications.
– Strong understanding of ITIL principles and experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.
– Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform, including configuration, customization, and administration.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
– Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work effectively under pressure.
– Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation is a plus.
