Database Implementation Specialist (SQL)
Job Description
The Opportunity
As a Database Implementation Specialist within the Geobank team, you’ll help mining companies across APAC implement, configure and optimise their database solutions. Working closely with customers, you’ll deliver data migration projects, configure workflows, resolve technical issues and provide guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.
The role offers a unique blend of SQL, database management and customer engagement.
The Impact you’ll have
- Deliver database implementation and migration projects for customers across APAC.
- Work with customers to understand requirements and configure solutions to meet their operational needs.
- Configure database objects and workflows to support customer-specific processes.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, scripts and migration processes.
- Investigate and resolve data quality and database-related issues.
- Support SQL Server administration activities, including backups, restores and permissions management.
- Produce technical documentation and provide user support where required.
What you need to succeed
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong SQL query writing and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of relational databases and data structures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working directly with customers and building strong professional relationships.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
