Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled Database Developer who excels at designing and optimizing complex database systems for high-performance applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with advanced SQL tuning, database security, and automation, and thrives working in fast-paced environments where data integrity and speed are paramount.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex database schemas for high-transaction, real-time applications, preferably in fintech or e-commerce sectors where millisecond query performance is critical.
  • Deep expertise with at least one major RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server) including writing stored procedures, triggers, and advanced query optimization techniques beyond basic indexing.
  • Hands-on knowledge of database version control and CI/CD pipelines tailored for database objects to ensure seamless integration into fast-paced Agile development cycles.
  • Strong command of data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, dbForge, or ERwin), capable of translating loosely defined business requirements into robust, scalable relational and non-relational structures.
  • Experience troubleshooting and tuning SQL queries under production workloads where performance bottlenecks are not obvious and require in-depth analysis with profiling tools.
  • Practical skills with database security implementation — including encryption, role-based access, and auditing compliant with GDPR, HIPAA, or other relevant regulations.
  • Comfortable working with complex ETL pipelines and integrating diverse data sources, including legacy systems and cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (backend developers, data scientists, and product owners) to build database-driven features aligned with strategic goals.
  • Knowledge of modern data trends such as temporal tables, JSON support in relational databases, or graph databases to suggest innovative solutions when appropriate.
  • Passion for automation and scripting (using Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to streamline routine database maintenance and deployment tasks.
