Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer who thrives on designing efficient, scalable data solutions and optimizing complex database operations. This role requires deep expertise in SQL and procedural languages, hands-on experience with multiple database technologies, and a passion for automating workflows and enhancing performance. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver secure, high-performing databases that support critical business applications.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced SQL & Procedural Language Skills
    • Expert in writing and optimizing complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers (T-SQL, PL/pgSQL).
    • Demonstrated ability to reduce query execution time significantly in high-transaction systems.
  • Data Modeling & Architecture
    • Design scalable, flexible database schemas for OLTP and OLAP workloads.
    • Balance normalization and denormalization to meet performance and integrity goals.
  • Performance Tuning
    • Deep understanding of query execution plans, indexing strategies, and partitioning.
    • Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Multi-Database Technology Experience
    • Hands-on with at least one RDBMS (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
    • Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra a plus.
  • Scripting & Automation
    • Skilled in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automating database tasks.
    • Experience integrating database changes into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Knowledge of data encryption, auditing, and access controls aligned with standards like GDPR or HIPAA.
    • Ability to design secure database solutions without compromising performance.
  • Team Collaboration & Agile Development
    • Work closely with developers, data engineers, and analysts to implement data solutions.
    • Comfortable in agile workflows with sprint-based deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation
    • Proactively identify issues and propose improvements.
    • Stay updated on emerging database technologies and best practices.
