Job Description
Responsibilities.
- Building and improving innovative solutions to business problems – such as behavioural modelling, customer insights, and segmentation, A/B testing, campaign analysis, and self-service analytics solutions
- Reviewing customer data to identify trends and opportunities for the marketing teams and wider business to support business initiatives
- Growing your skill set and analytic capabilities, as well as helping other team members do the same in our innovative and collaborative team environment
- Creating, automating, maintaining and monitoring statistical and machine learning models, and other practical, user-friendly data products as needed
- Presenting analyses, experiments, and model outcomes clearly so technical and non-technical stakeholders can act on them

- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency Status
- Prior experience leveraging SQL, Python, Excel etc. to turn data into insights, models, or decisions.
- Proven ability to present findings in user friendly visualisations and communicate with various levels of technical & non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of databases and ability write complex SQL queries.
- Experience applying statistical or machine learning techniques to real business or customer data to drive actionable insights and business impact.
- A desire to learn new things & help others in their growth.
- Excellent problem-solving skills & ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify the complex into something understandable and insightful.
- Project management skills & ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Ability to thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced and changing environment.
- A University degree in a quantitative discipline e.g. Math/Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Actuarial etc. or to at least enjoy working with numbers
- A good sense of humour, as all good analysts know 73% of all stats are made up on the spot
Nice to have but not required.
- Experience using Tableau (or any other BI platform) and an understanding of best practices in visual design.
- Experience in Google Analytics, Google BigQuery or web log based data collection and analysis
- Experience working for a digital publisher or marketing or ecommerce organization, and/or knowledge of digital marketing (SEO, SEM, Display, Social), web design and development, ecommerce, and user flows
